Grabb is a mobile ordering & pre-payment app for restaurants, and they came to 88 Creative to help launch their app to Toronto-based media, bloggers, and social influencers. Their goal was twofold: to increase consumer awareness, app downloads and usage; and to drive awareness among restaurant owners who could implement the app in their locations.

 

The 88 Creative PR team put together a media kit for Grabb, including a press release, fact sheet, and executive bios, and completed media training with CEO Kabir Daswani. The launch announcement focused primarily on Toronto media due to the app's availability, and ultimately our team secured coverage in over 15 publications including BNN, The Globe & Mail, Financial Post, BetaKit, TechVibes, Profit, and ITBusiness, a total of over 4 million media impressions.

 

Our PR & digital marketing teams also worked with bloggers & social influencers on a "Grabb Lunch" challenge, which encouraged them to try the app during the lunch hour rush, and give away credits to their readers. Over 18 bloggers participated in the challenge, writing about the app and promoting it on social media.
